Lalaloap exists to help families spend a good evening around a table. These are the standards every guide on the site follows.
Accuracy first
- Rules for published games are checked against the official rulebook from the publisher.
- Traditional games, like most card games, have no single official rulebook. For these we follow long-established published rules and say clearly when families commonly play differently.
- If a rule is genuinely disputed, we explain the common versions rather than guess.
How we write
Every guide follows the same structure: what you need, setup, a step-by-step walkthrough, scoring, house rules, variations and a short FAQ. We write in plain English so you can teach a game at the table in a couple of minutes.
Recommendations and affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links. Commissions never decide what we recommend; we explain who a game suits and its downsides. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Spotted a mistake or a rule your family plays differently? Please contact us. We review every correction and update the guide when we get something wrong.
Keeping guides current
We revisit guides regularly, especially for games with new editions, and update rules, prices and recommendations when they change.
